First Project
Wallet
Project description
This was my very first leather project!
I made this using a bunch of scrap leather that I bought from Amazon. This is suede leather and I did the sewing
by hand. It's not functional and was my first first project that I did after watching a lot of YouTube videos.
Leather carving: Bulbasaur
Leather Carving
Project description
I grew up with Pokemon Red/Blue and then Yellow so first generation Pokemon seemed like a wonderful
starting point for me to learn how to leather carve.
This is 4 to 5 oz vegetable tanned leather. I used oil dyes after doing the initial carving and working the leather.

Leather Carving

I enjoy going out to events where I can dress up like a Viking so it only made sense that I get started on a Viking war belt project!
This is a belt with an 8 oz base and 4 to 5 ounce individual pieces on top. Each of the 5 pieces are veg tan leather. Holding them onto the base
are brass rivets. 2 to 3 oz leather straps keep it together.
I thoroughly enjoyed this project and may do several more like it as I branch out and learn more about the craft!
Leather carving: Spirit Wolf Pouch
Leather Carving
Project description
This was part of my Viking outfit project and what Viking goes into battle to raid and pillage without a bag to hold all the gold in?!
This pouch is tooled 3 oz veg tan leather. The design has a bit of green dye on the head stone. It's stitched together with deer skin leather
on the side for some elasticity. It has two loops to accomodate a moderately sized belt with a small leather lace to allow the wearer to
secure the flap.
The best part of this project was the tooling. I honestly didn't see it coming out this good until it was done. I'm very proud of the work.
