Program Manager passionate about process improvement with strong leadership skills. Over 5 years experience in Project/Program Management in the
Cyber Security industry. Security minded and driven, he manages programs to create efficiency where it's needed and drives change where it's required.
Currently working at Leviathan Security Group in Seattle, Washington.
Joshua currently works for Leviathan Security Group as a Program Manager. He leads and manages highly technical staff of Cyber security professionals by organizating, planning, and directing team members to meet and exceed program objectives & timelines. He serves as the primary point of contact for all deliverables and spearheads the review, validation, testing, development, and implementation of security documentation, processes, and controls. He also provides training and mentoring to junior personnel.
Joshua worked for IT Governance, Risk and Compliance team as a Cybersecurity Project Manager. He provided project management support as well as tracking of initiatives and weekly reporting of metrics via Power BI. He also created more efficient processes with ServiceNow and assessment .
Joshua worked for the Trust and Integrity Protection (TrIP) team as a Buisness and Project Manager. He worked
on a variety of projects as well as optimized various processes within the Rhythm of Business (ROB).
He also provided support for other various teams to include the risk intake process, internal and external
communications, as well as the organization's budget.
The Global Learning and Development (GLD) New Hire Oriention (NHO) team needed a platform designed
to provide a, "one stop shop" location for all things NHO. The goal was to allow for all NHO site locations
to have a source of information to create a standardized, "Day 1" experience.
Joshua chose
to use SharePoint and created the entire site from the ground up. He managed permissions, created
and maintained Document Libraries, and subsites for other NHO locations to house their own information.
During this time he also communicated, updated, and maintained team Wiki's.
Joshua was first hired on to be the Teacher Supervisor. He trained, mentored, and
gave support to teachers who travel to different school systems in the Seattle area to teach kids how
to code. He was also responsible for the creation and maintance of the programs and materials used to
include HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Java, and Python.
Next, he was promoted to Technical Project Manager
where he worked with multiple software development teams internationally to address issues and improve
quality.
Lastly, he was responsible for the advertising and hiring of Computer Science students at
the University of Washington - Bothel taking their Master's in Computer Science program to participate
in an internship for school credits.
While going to school for Computer Science, Joshua worked on Patient Monitor units as well as provided over the phone support for customers nation wide. These patient monitors are what hospital systems use to monitors a patients vitals such as their spO2, blood pressure, and ECG.
Joshua joined this company weeks before they opened and created their social presence on
Google Maps and creating/managing their social media accounts to include Facebook, Twitter,
and Yelp!.
He managed the onboarding and training of all new employees for the company
as well as independent contractors to whom provided necessary services to the pool and
building.
Either leading or participating, he provided feedback on business related
topics and issues.
His first job after the Navy, Joshua was first hired as an Onsite
Calibration Technician. His job was to travel to hospital sites all over the United States
to provide calibration and repair services.
Joshua provided expertise with biomedical
issues and problems while assisting the hospital teams with their equipment needs.
Joshua was then promoted to Onsite Coordinator to help and assist with the planning and
coordination of Onsite Technicians
During his time with BC Group, Joshua identified the
need for a training program to better prepare and train incomming new Calibration Technicians.
Affectionately dubbed the, "How-to BC" training program, Joshua reduced the uptime from
hire to hospital sites by 50%.
Joining in August of 2006, Joshua graduated from bootcamp in October of the
same here. With the designation of Electronics Technician (ET), he completed A-school in
Great Lakes, Illinois before transfering to Norfolk, VA to serve onboard the USS Enterprise
(CVN - 65).
His expertise was in External Communications where he maintained and repaired
the WSC-3 UHF Transceiver radio systems as well as the SATCOM UHF Radio systems equating to
millions of dollars. He was also solely responsiple for the SINCGARS and GRC-211 radio
systems.
Joshua was the Senior Technician of his division where he was responsible
for the training of incoming ET's as well as leading teams of junior Sailors.
